Another ward—after the surgery ward—has been closed because of the virus. This time, it is the infectious diseases ward. Several people have contracted COVID-19.
However, as Kamil Barczyk, director of the Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec, emphasizes, this is a precautionary closure. During the long May weekend, the ward will be disinfected and will probably reopen at the beginning of next week: on Monday or Tuesday.
The surgery ward mentioned above is also expected to reopen next week. The hospital authorities are awaiting the official negative test results for the medical staff.
