The Prime Minister announces the easing of restrictions.
The following regulations will be introduced from April 20:
- Forests and parks will open, while playgrounds will remain closed
- In churches, there will be a limit of one person per 15 m²
- In stores of up to 100 m², four people will be allowed per checkout
- In stores larger than 100 m², there will be one person per 15 m²
- Farmers will not have to wear masks while working
- People over the age of 13 will be allowed to move around without a guardian
In the next stage (no earlier than April 27):
- Libraries, museums and art galleries will open
- Home improvement stores will open on weekends
- Hotels and accommodation facilities will be allowed to operate
In the third stage:
- The catering industry will resume operations, but with restrictions
- Hairdressing and beauty salons will open
- Sports events for up to 50 people will be held without spectators
- Care will resume in nurseries and preschools, as well as for children in grades 1–3
In the fourth stage:
- Massage and tattoo parlors will open
- Gyms and fitness clubs will be allowed to operate
- Theaters and cinemas will operate
The intervals between stages of easing restrictions may last from one to three weeks.
The requirement to wear masks will remain in effect until further notice. According to Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski, the obligation to wear masks may remain in force until a vaccine is developed. It may even take a year or a year and a half for the vaccine to be tested and reach the market.
