Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyna caught the perpetrator of a theft red-handed. The 28-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County wanted to steal car parts from the premises of a vehicle disposal company. The perpetrator packed his loot into a backpack, but did not manage to take it away because he was caught by the local police officers.

During activities involving the suspect, the police established that the man had committed other offences as well. Over the past two weeks, the 28-year-old broke into the fuel tanks of heavy goods vehicles three times and stole diesel fuel. All the offences took place in Bolesławiec municipality.
The detainee was charged with a total of four offences and pleaded guilty. He could now face a sentence of between one and as many as ten years in prison.
