Hotels, hostels, dormitories and sanatoriums designated by the voivodes will be converted into isolation facilities. The first Lower Silesian isolation facility is operating in Oborniki Śląskie. Another has been established at the Wieniawa Hotel in Wrocław, at Gajowicka Street. It will be run by the J. Gromkowski Provincial Specialist Hospital. Another facility will be opened in Kraśnik Dolny, in the Hotel Picaro building by the A4 motorway.
Who will be referred to an isolation facility?
- people suffering from a mild COVID-19 infection who do not require hospital treatment
- people whose doctor has ordered home isolation but who should not remain there because of the risk of infecting close relatives from a high-risk group (e.g. elderly people or those with reduced immunity),
- people whose doctor has ordered home isolation but who, for other reasons, cannot undergo it at their place of residence.
Isolated patients will be provided with medical and psychological care, as well as meals. The operation of the facilities will be financed by the National Health Fund.
