Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyna arrested a 39-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. “The man broke into an excavator’s fuel tank because he wanted to steal diesel fuel. However, he failed to achieve his intended goal because the tank was empty,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. “The suspect admitted to the alleged offense.”
The perpetrator recently faced charges in connection with crimes committed earlier, including breaking into vehicle fuel tanks and car-wash machines.
As the 39-year-old is a repeat offender, he may face a sentence ranging from one year to as many as 15 years in prison.
