The next session, convened at the request of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, will be held on Wednesday, 8 April, at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre. (Naturally, all requirements will be observed: councillors will receive masks, the room will be disinfected, and distances will be maintained.)
“We waited to convene the session until the President of the Republic of Poland had signed the package of laws known as the anti-crisis shield. This law provides different legal possibilities when it comes to decisions being made by the mayor and councillors,” says Piotr Roman.
(What is more, thanks to Wednesday’s meeting of the councillors, subsequent sessions will be able to take place online.)
How does the City intend to help entrepreneurs?
“At the upcoming session, we will address the abolition of rents for tenants of commercial premises owned by the Municipal Commune,” says the mayor. For how long? “We are unable to predict that,” he adds.
Moreover, the municipal authorities want to abolish the market fee at both marketplaces.
Other measures? “We will recommend that the City Council adopt a decision introducing a systemic exemption from property tax for entrepreneurs whose financial liquidity has deteriorated,” P. Roman notes. The councillors are also expected to decide on extending the deadlines for paying tax instalments.
We will return to this topic.
