The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 1, after 1:00 p.m. The driver of a passenger car—a man known to the police—failed to stop for a traffic check. (A Reader informed us about the case.)
The suspect fled through the municipalities of Bolesławiec and Warta Bolesławiecka. Unfortunately, despite police roadblocks, the fugitive could not be detained.
The man may now face between three months and as many as five years in prison.
