Police Headquarters:
The essence of the competition is to recognize those police officers who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, an empathetic attitude and skills in providing individual assistance to people affected by domestic violence.
The competition has been held continuously since 2008. Since then, 12 editions of the competition have taken place, during which 60 winners deserving—according to the public—of special recognition were selected. They were officers representing both the preventive and criminal services.
The 13th edition of the competition is held under the honorary patronage of the Chief of Police, while the awards ceremony itself will form part of the central celebrations of Police Day.
Who can nominate a candidate?
The procedure for nominating police officers for the current edition of “The Police Officer Who Helped Me” competition runs until May 31, 2020. The winners of the competition (5 people) are selected by the Chapter, which includes employees of the Nationwide Emergency Service for Victims of Domestic Violence “Blue Line,” winners of the last three editions of the competition and a representative of the KGP Prevention Bureau.
