As Kamil Barczyk, director of the district hospital Kamil Barczyk, informed us, a second case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Bolesławiec. The infected man is a resident of Zgorzelec County who felt well enough to be placed under home quarantine. It concerns a doctor from Zgorzelec who went to the Bolesławiec ZOZ himself.
The Sanitary Inspectorate is investigating whom the man had contact with.
The first case of coronavirus in Bolesławiec was confirmed last week. The infected person is an approximately 40-year-old Danish citizen. The woman was vacationing in Poland and staying at Czocha Castle (Lubań County).
She was admitted to the infectious diseases ward of the Bolesławiec hospital on Wednesday (11 March). The Bolesławiec hospital received the test results confirming coronavirus infection in the Danish patient at midnight on Friday (13 March).
What is happening at the hospital?
More than 20 people with suspected coronavirus are currently staying at the Bolesławiec medical facility. The conversion of the ZOZ into a single-disease infectious hospital is continuing. We will return to the subject.
