The Third Bolesławiec Star of Kindness event began late Sunday afternoon. The weather was favorable—it was frosty, and fortunately there was no sleet. Residents exchanged greetings, passed on the Bethlehem Light, and sang carols and pastorals.
The evening’s headline act was the Trebunie Tutki band from Biały Dunajec. Drawing on traditional instruments, the highlander scale, musical structure and performance style, the musicians create new highlander music. They develop and enrich indigenous music with new melodies, contemporary lyrics and avant-garde arrangements. They create an original Polish sound. They readily experiment with reggae, rock, techno and jazz.
