KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. is continuously monitoring the situation related to the coronavirus and taking numerous measures. The copper giant:
Thanks to the so-called fast-track consultation process and the launch of the procedure for obtaining approval from the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, the KGHM Group has a chance to produce as much as 20 tonnes of biocidal products per day as early as within the next two weeks. They will be supplied to Polish hospitals, offices and companies.
“This is a time of challenges, but also of exceptional mobilization. We are acting for the benefit of our employees, local communities and local governments, as well as Poland as a whole,” emphasizes the president of KGHM Polska Miedź Marcin Chludziński.
This is not the only action KGHM has taken recently in connection with the coronavirus situation. Special procedures have been introduced for employees. Ten thousand P2 masks were provided to the authorities of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Ministry of Health. A building that can be used for quarantine purposes was made available to the Głogów County Office. The company is also ready to hand over some spa buildings for similar purposes.

- KGHM volunteers are also joining the campaign to help older people, “Be a good neighbor”
- company employees are helping seniors take care of their most urgent needs, such as shopping or a visit to an office.
