Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, as a result of operational activities, identified and arrested a couple who had robbed the owners of two guesthouses. The suspects are residents of Bolesławiec.
– The 18-year-old woman and 28-year-old man acted together and in agreement. First, they deceived the owner of a guesthouse operating in Bolesławiec – says Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The thieves agreed with the owner that they could stay at her property, but in return they would carry out specific tasks for her. The result? The duo stole valuable items from the rooms and restaurant.
A. Kublik-Rościszewska: – The next victims of the arrested couple’s criminal activities were the owners of a guesthouse in Bolesławiec municipality. The hosts rented a room to the suspects, who, taking advantage of the owners’ absence, broke into a cabinet containing valuable items and stole, among other things, gold jewelry.
The duo were arrested in… the room of another guesthouse. The officers recovered some of the stolen property, including jewelry, cosmetics and decorative vessels.
The suspects were charged with three offenses: fraud, theft and burglary. They could now face between one and 10 years in prison.
