Information has emerged that there is a problem with supplies at the county hospital in Bolesławiec. Kamil Barczyk, director of the ZOZ, told istotne.pl:
Indeed, there is a problem when it comes to deliveries and stock levels of personal protective equipment—both in companies and in hospitals. We are using up material resources rapidly. For one patient, we need 5–7 sets: a mask, coverall, goggles, and, if necessary, a face shield.
With these shortages in shops, wholesalers and warehouses, a problem is beginning to develop. But today we received positive signals: sewing workshops are starting to sew. Companies have reported that they will provide us with disinfectants. I hope the situation will begin to stabilize.
He adds:
The Voivodeship Office assured us yesterday that there would be a delivery from state reserves today. We are in constant contact with the local government authorities and the country's authorities.
If another dozen or so patients were actually sent to us now, we would probably have to turn them away. But so far, there has been no such case. And I think that the situation will improve from hour to hour.
Currently, more than 10 people with suspected coronavirus are staying at the county hospital in Bolesławiec. However, no case has been confirmed—knock on wood!
