Police officers from the Zgorzelec SPEED group stopped a Peugeot for a roadside check in Bogatynia. It turned out that its driver—the 41-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County—was completely drunk. He had more than 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.
But that was not all. “A 10-year-old child and his mother were in the vehicle; she had nearly 2 per mille of alcohol in her blood,” says Police Sub-Inspector Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
The spokesperson adds:
For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, in addition to penalty points, the man faces a hefty fine, a driving ban and up to two years in prison.
