Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters arrested three men immediately after they had committed a burglary at a store. (The incident took place last week in Kraśnik Dolny.)

Junior Asp. Wojciech Jabłoński from the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters:

The perpetrators, acting together and in agreement, overcame the security measures and entered a store in Bolesławiec Municipality. Operational activities conducted by the police led to the suspects’ arrest and the recovery of stolen property, namely cigarettes and alcohol.

The detainees are residents of Zgorzelec County, aged 20, 32 and 38. During the proceedings, it emerged that the youngest suspect had six other break-ins at stores belonging to the same chain on his record. (He was charged with seven counts of burglary in total; six such incidents took place in Bolesławiec County and one in Lwówek County. All the thefts occurred between December last year and 28 February.)

That was not the end of it. The 38-year-old was carrying methamphetamine. Moreover, he drove his friends to the burglary despite being subject to a court-ordered driving ban.

Junior Asp. Wojciech Jabłoński: “In addition to the property recovered from the burglary, the police also secured other items whose origin will now be investigated.”

The detainees were charged with 11 counts in total. They face between one and ten years in prison for the crimes committed.
