– The implementation of the “Personal Assistant for a Person with a Disability” Programme, 2019–2020 edition, has been entrusted to the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec – says Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall.
What will be included in the duties of a personal assistant for a person with a disability?
- assistance with leaving home, returning home and travelling, for example to rehabilitation and therapeutic activities or cultural centres
- assistance with shopping (provided that the programme participant actively takes part) and handling matters at offices.
The programme provides for a limit of no more than 30 hours of assistant services per participant per month. The costs of providing assistant services are covered in full under the programme.
