Police officers from Kruszyn, while patrolling the Gromadka commune, stopped a vehicle for inspection. It was being driven by a 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. As it turned out, the driver was drunk; he had more than one per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
That was not the end of the matter, however, as it came to light that the 40-year-old was subject to a driving ban imposed by the District Court in Słubice.
The man was detained. He could now face a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
