The man was detained by officers from the Court Police Team in Jelenia Góra on February 3, at around 4 p.m., near the courthouse.
Deputy Inspector Edyta Bagrowska of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra:
The 28-year-old had been detained numerous times by Jelenia Góra police officers in connection with property damage he committed in Jelenia Góra from August 28 last year until February 3, 2020.
She adds:
The man repeatedly painted the façades of various buildings and smashed windowpanes in, among other places, the City Hall, the Court, a Housing Community office, a grocery discount store and one of the schools.
The vandal was charged with 17 offenses. At the prosecutor’s request, he was remanded in custody for three months.
The 28-year-old now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
