The incident occurred last Tuesday in Legnica. As established during the investigation, the 62-year-old man first wounded his female acquaintance with a knife in her apartment, then left the premises and stabbed a man he encountered in the street. (He knew him as well.)

“Immediately after the incident, the perpetrator was detained by detectives from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Life and Health and taken to police custody,” says Staff Sergeant Anna Tersa from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.

The man was charged, among other things, with causing serious bodily harm. At the request of the prosecutor’s office and the police, the court remanded the 62-year-old in custody for three months.

The aggressor now faces a sentence of between one and up to ten years in prison.
