On January 29, 2020, the Bolesławiec City Council adopted a resolution on granting subsidies from the city budget totaling PLN 540,000. – Five applications that meet the formal and substantive requirements have been selected to receive grants – says Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for the Bolesławiec City Hall.
The planned grants concern:
- renovation of the façade of the tenement house at 6c Mickiewicza Street – PLN 100,000
- renovation of the façade of the tenement house at 17a Polna Street – PLN 100,000
- renovation of the façade of the tenement house at 6 Warszawska Street – PLN 90,000
- conservation and restoration of the sculptural group “Jesus, Friend of Children,” application submitted by the Roman Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 1b Plac Zamkowy – PLN 100,000
- stratigraphic studies to identify historic wall paintings in the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica, application submitted by the Roman Catholic Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas at 3 Kościelna Street – PLN 150,000.

The conservation work on the properties covered by the grants is intended to restore the former architectural form, artistic value and utility that have been damaged or altered in the buildings. The renovation work will be carried out under the supervision of the Voivodeship Conservator of Historic Monuments.
