January 18, 2020 (Saturday) at 7:00 p.m. the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica will host a concert by Olga Szomańska, featuring the most beautiful carols and pastorales.

This exceptionally atmospheric concert will also feature works by Zbigniew Preisner and Piotr Rubik, as well as other well-known Christmas hits. Jacek Subociałło will play the piano.

Olga Szomańska is a singer, actress and winner of the Super Jedynka award at the Opole Festival, the Grand Prix at the Sopot Jedynka Festival and the Top Trendy Festival for the song “Let Them Say It Isn’t Love” (from the oratorio “Tu es Petrus”). She graduated from the State Music High School in Wrocław. In 2006, she passed the ZASP external acting examination in Warsaw.

She has performed numerous roles in dramatic productions and musicals, including “Kwiaty we włosach,” “Pińska szlachta,” “Krzyżacy – rock-opera” and “Legalna blondynka.” She can currently be seen in the title role of “Zakonnica w przebraniu” at the Musical Theatre in Poznań and in “Czarownice z Eastwick” at Syrena Theatre in Warsaw.

She is the winner of the Silver Face in the sixth season of the popular entertainment show “Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo” and the 2017 Jan Kiepura Theatre Musical Award for Best Musical Vocalist. She is known to a wider audience as Marzenka from the TV series “M jak miłość.”
