Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of another vehicle burglary. (The man, who had previously been detained, had already been charged in connection with car burglaries and thefts.)
The perpetrator stole fuel, batteries and valuable items found in cars. One of the charges brought against the 32-year-old also concerned an attempted vehicle theft.
Interestingly, during police proceedings it emerged that the man had installed the “acquired” battery in his own car.
The suspect confessed to all the acts of which he was accused. Police are currently determining whether the 32-year-old has committed other crimes of this kind. The man faces a sentence of between one and ten years in prison.
