The incident occurred on the second day of the holidays, after 9:00 a.m. The Audi driver failed to stop for a check. Police officers began chasing him along Staszica Street, and later along Graniczna Street.
The car had license plates from Legnica. After several minutes, police officers caught the fugitive near the Bóbr River, behind the wastewater treatment plant.
The driver was probably under the influence of intoxicants. He and another person from the car were detained. The driver's blood will be tested by a laboratory.
