The incident occurred on Monday, December 16, after 1:00 p.m., in one of the buildings in the center of Ławszowa (Osiecznica commune). It turned out that the cause of the fire was the explosion of an 11-kilogram gas cylinder.

A man who was in the blast zone suffered burns. He was taken to hospital.

Four crews from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, volunteer firefighters from Przejęsław and Ławszowa, as well as the police and an emergency medical team, took part in the operation.

Officers from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec are determining the cause of the incident.
