The tree was put up last week. Today, it was decorated with baubles and blue lights. It looks impressive. The Christmas decoration welcomes everyone entering the city centre from Zgorzelecka Street.
– The tree is 12.5 metres tall; we obtained it from Eugeniusz Małecki, a resident of Bolesławiec. The Christmas tree was damaging his building, so it had to be cut down. I thought we could put it at the intersection. Mr Małecki donated the tree free of charge – says MZGM head Kazimierz Łomotowski.
The tree was put up thanks to the Municipal Housing Management Company after Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec left the site and took their jugs with them.
