Based on the evidence gathered, criminal investigators from Bolesławiec identified those responsible for breaking into machines at car washes. The crimes took place between October 2 and 7: twice in Bolesławiec and once in Kruszyn.
Those arrested are residents of Żagań County, aged 19 and 21.
According to police findings, the older of the two had previously tried to obtain money in this way in the Lubusz Voivodeship. (He had also been convicted of property-related offenses.)
Both detainees confessed to the crime. They could now face up to 10 years in prison.
