Another contingent of US Army soldiers has arrived in Bolesławiec as part of the rotational presence of American troops in the region. On October 1, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman met with the new commander of the soldiers of Alpha Company, 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion.
Capt. Christopher Jones and Piotr Roman discussed the possibility of organizing joint initiatives during the nine-month rotation, including in the areas of sports, culture and education. The new contingent in Bolesławiec numbers approximately 130 soldiers and comes from Fort Huachuca in Arizona.
