As reported by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the cause of death of the doorman at one of the fuel depots in Jelenia Góra was… exsanguination associated with numerous bite wounds.
“For now, the investigation is being conducted in the direction of unintentional causing of death. No one has been charged in this case,” prosecutor Tomasz Czułowski, spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, told the Polish Press Agency.
Investigators commissioned an expert opinion on the dogs’ behavior. The animals are under veterinary observation. Details are available on the website of Polskie Radio Wrocław.
Let us recall that the incident occurred on Saturday, September 28, on the premises of one of the fuel depots in Jelenia Góra. A passer-by alerted the emergency services that a bloodied man was lying on the property, with dogs running around him.

Firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene. The animals were aggressive, according to their account. “They kept attacking the man lying on the ground. The firefighters tried to drive the dogs away using water,” reported Junior Captain Krzysztof Zakrzewski of the fire service in Jelenia Góra.
The death of the 64-year-old man was confirmed at the scene.
