On September 30, officers from the NYSA group, carrying out activities aimed at combating cross-border crime, discovered a stolen vehicle in one of the car parks in Zgorzelec.
The Fiat Ducato had license plates belonging to another vehicle. However, a check in the police database revealed that it was the same car that had been stolen in Germany the previous day.
The recovered Fiat is worth over PLN 200,000. The District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec:
Efforts are underway both to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and to apprehend the theft suspect.
The thief could face up to 10 years in prison.
