During the September session of the Bolesławiec County Council Kamil Barczyk, head of the Bolesławiec ZOZ, presented the facility’s financial situation. After the county hospital director’s report, Wolny Bolesławiec councillor Jacek Łuczkowski spoke, mentioning that he had recently had the opportunity to visit the Emergency Department with a family member:

There has been a noticeable qualitative, empathetic and organisational change when it comes to the Emergency Department. I do not know how much of this is due to the director, but I have the impression that a great deal has changed in the Emergency Department.

K. Barczyk replied:

Indeed, since July we have additionally hired four emergency medicine specialists, which has produced a measurable effect for the hospital—not only in terms of quality, but also financially.

The head of the ZOZ added:

Let me remind you that as recently as the first half of the year, we did not have a single emergency medicine doctor in the Emergency Department, which was a very unfavorable situation.

What do you think? Do you share the councillor’s opinion? Is the Emergency Department really better? We invite you to join the discussion.
