As part of the “Safe Route to School” campaign, community police officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters placed educational institutions under special surveillance during the first week of September. While patrolling the area near one of Bolesławiec’s secondary schools, they arrested a 17-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
The minor began behaving nervously; it was immediately clear that he very much wanted to avoid a police check.
It quickly became clear what had caused the teenager’s strange behavior. The young man had bags of marijuana in the pocket of his sweatshirt.
The 17-year-old was arrested and the drugs were secured. The county resident has already been charged with possession of narcotic drugs. He could now face up to three years in prison.
