Jelenia Góra detectives detained a 39-year-old man suspected of numerous burglaries. They established that in August, the man committed at least three crimes against property in Jelenia Góra. These were burglaries at a shop, a restaurant and a confectionery shop.
The suspect stole cash, cigarettes and alcohol. The victims’ losses were initially estimated at approximately 5,000 zlotys.
Interestingly, the 39-year-old wore a balaclava during the burglaries to avoid being recognized. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that he is responsible for more offences of this kind.
The officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the case, including what happened to the stolen property.
The man was taken into police custody. He could now face up to 10 years in prison.
