The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 21, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in Świętoszów (Osiecznica gmina). The driver of a BMW, a 31-year-old resident of Żagań County, lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and drove into a tree.
The man was traveling alone; he sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Moreover, it emerged that the 31-year-old was driving under the influence of intoxicating substances. (This was previously reported by the police).
However, as it turned out—as a reader informed us—the man was only under the influence of strong medication.
