Officers from the Road Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra stopped an intoxicated 60-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County suspected of riding a bicycle under the influence on August 8, around noon.
The cyclist’s riding immediately aroused the officers’ suspicions. (As it turned out—rightly so.) The police immediately detected a distinct smell of alcohol coming from him. A test showed nearly one per mille.
But that was not all. The officers’ attention was drawn to the bicycle’s basket. The man was carrying two liqueurs and two beers in it
The 60-year-old received a 500-zloty fine.
