The duty officer at the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters received a report that the perpetrators of a burglary at a building under renovation in the Legnickie Pole municipality had been apprehended. Officers who arrived at the scene arrested three men, aged between 20 and 33, residents of Jawor County.
Police established that the suspects had probably broken into the building several days earlier and stolen construction materials. The property owner noticed items taken from the basement lying in the corridor. He realized that he was being robbed and decided to set a trap.
The owner's suspicions proved correct. At around 3:00 a.m., three thieves entered the building. They attempted to carry away the items that had been prepared in advance. They were apprehended by the man who had been waiting for them. He also notified the police.
The burglars were taken into police custody. They could now face up to 10 years in prison. They were also placed under police supervision.
