In July, firefighters from our county had their hands full. The reason? Fires in cultivated fields. Komenda Powiatowa Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Bolesławcu:
The fires destroyed 47 hectares of fields. Losses were estimated at more than PLN 700,000 (among other things, a truck was burned); the value of the fields and other objects saved was estimated at more than PLN 1,150,000.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
In total, PSP and OSP firefighters responded to field fires as many as 20 times. (In July, they responded 129 times to all fires and local hazards).
