Police officers from Kruszyn detained a woman and a man suspected of theft and handling stolen goods. Both are residents of Bolesławiec County.
The 24-year-old man will face charges for stealing a car bumper. The detainee unscrewed the part from a vehicle parked outside a car repair shop. Why did he do it? Because his female friend needed exactly that kind. Both the model and the colour matched.
What is more, police established that the 24-year-old had another offence on his record, committed on 19 July in Bolesławiec municipality. At the time, the suspect stole navigation devices, a cable and 100 litres of diesel fuel.
The officers located the vehicle with the stolen bumper and its owner. The 22-year-old woman was charged with handling stolen goods and... theft. It emerged that she had stolen a television from a guesthouse.
Both detainees face up to five years in prison.
