A farewell ceremony for the soldiers and the Ministry of National Defence employee took place during a formal assembly in the regiment’s Tradition Hall, where superiors, colleagues and coworkers thanked Sgt. Piotr Buczkowski, Małgorzata Wawrzynowska and Senior Warrant Officer Maciej Nastalski for their shared service and work.
After the ceremonial order was read, the direct superiors outlined the course of service and work of those being farewelled. The commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, Acting Lieutenant Colonel Witold Zawadzki, then honoured those transferring to the reserve with letters of commendation as a sign of recognition for their service to the regiment.
As they parted ways with the unit, those being farewelled thanked their colleagues for the years of shared service and work, and their superiors for creating a good atmosphere in their professional activities.
23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:
In keeping with a tradition observed in the regiment, a delegation of non-commissioned officers presented their colleagues with commemorative sabres, after which those being farewelled made ceremonial entries in the unit’s Memorial Book. The final point of the ceremony was a commemorative photograph, after which those being farewelled received warm wishes and congratulations from their colleagues and coworkers.
