The event was organized by the 105th Military Hospital in Żary. It is held regularly, and not only soldiers take part; representatives of associations and hospital staff also participate.
As the Świętoszów military personnel emphasize:
However, soldiers from the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade are usually the largest group to get involved in such events.
“Twenty soldiers took part in the blood donation drive. This is fewer than during the most recent event of this kind, which was attended by around 40 soldiers. However, we are aware that this is related to the soldiers’ vacations, which are currently underway,” said the hospital’s press spokesperson, Deniz Katrin Mrozik. “The collection is organized to provide as much blood as possible for our hospital, but not only for it. This is a time when blood is in short supply, and we were counting on the presence of soldiers who regularly support voluntary blood donation drives every six months.
This time too, the soldiers of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, including soldiers from the Academic Legion, helped save someone’s life. The brigade:
The gift of blood is extremely valuable, so we encourage everyone to join the soldiers from Świętoszów.
