Do vandals get bored during the summer holidays? It certainly seems so, as a reader informed us that someone had “decorated” the façade of the Community House in Otok with their scribbles.

In addition to standard inscriptions, such as “*WDP” (incidentally, with a spelling mistake), politically charged ones also appeared: “F**k the court,” as well as… Latin phrases. The most out-of-place here is “vivere militare est,” meaning “life is a struggle.” I wonder what the author had in mind.

We informed Janusz Cieśla, director of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, Janusz Cieśla. He announced that he would report it to the police.

We would add that the perpetrator or perpetrators could face up to five years behind bars.
