The B1 no-entry signs installed at the bus turnaround at Kosiby/Kresów II RP Street in Bolesławiec were intended to improve MZK bus traffic in the area. That is why supplementary plates were placed beneath the signs stating that they do not apply to MZK buses. Previously, bus drivers had complained about difficulties getting around passenger cars parked along the street. Local residents, meanwhile, say that when bus drivers turned into the turnaround from Kosiby Street, they often did so too early, driving over solid lines.
The signs installed at the beginning of this week were meant to make it easier for bus drivers to maneuver. Instead, after the signs were put up, the residents of the building on Kresów II RP Street were cut off from the outside world. It is also impossible to drive to the utility building where an alcohol wholesaler once operated. The residents have already intervened regarding the signs. For now, the signs have been covered.
What happens next? Perhaps another supplementary plate will appear beneath the signs, stating that, in addition to bus drivers, the signs also do not apply to the building’s residents and their guests, or to the owners of the utility building. Surely some compromise solution can be found.
