The new commander of the anti-aircraft squadron of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade (10BKPanc) is Lieutenant Colonel Janusz Fajger.
After the order appointing him to the position and thereby promoting him to the next officer rank was read, Janusz Fajger, then still a major, stepped in front of the formation. The deputy commander of the 10BKPanc, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Nikonowicz, presented the officer with his promotion document. From that moment on, one additional star officially appeared on his beret and shoulder boards.
Brigade:
Lieutenant Colonel Janusz Fajger joined the formation aware that his promotion would also involve additional duties and new challenges that he would have to meet. The colonel faces a difficult task, as he must not only get to know the new subunit, but also the people serving there.
The previous commander of the anti-aircraft squadron, Lieutenant Colonel Piotr Jaraczewski, said farewell that day to the subunit in which he had served for many years. The anti-aircraft soldiers’ standard was handed over on the parade ground. The two officers stood facing each other—the commander handed the standard to the new commander.
It was an extremely important moment in each of their military careers.
Lieutenant Colonel Piotr Jaraczewski has left the anti-aircraft squadron and will now serve as head of air defence in the 34th Armored Cavalry Brigade.
