The tragedy occurred on Monday, July 8, at around 8:00 p.m., on national road no. 36, in the village of Miłosna (Lubin County).
According to the police's preliminary findings, the driver of a Renault passenger car, a 67-year-old resident of Lubin County, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Volkswagen passenger car, a 24-year-old woman, while exiting a minor road.
The cars collided. The 67-year-old man was seriously injured. As a result of his injuries, and despite resuscitation efforts, he died at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital. Her life is not in danger.
The police and the prosecutor's office are investigating the causes of the accident. Investigators appeal to drivers to exercise caution and good judgment on the road and to maintain limited trust in other drivers.
