When police officers from Kruszyn were travelling to a neighbouring police unit, they noticed a man who was wanted in connection with the theft of a Mercedes passenger car. (The crime was committed on 3 June in Bolesławiec.)
The suspect, a 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality, was arrested. During a search, the officers found the keys to the vehicle in question.
In the course of further actions, the officers established where the 34-year-old had hidden the stolen property. The car was recovered.
The 34-year-old, who is well known to the police because he has committed other offences against property, pleaded guilty. He now faces up to five years in prison.
