The incident occurred on Sunday, June 30, at around 1:30 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to a forest fire between Osła and Gromadka (Gromadka municipality). Firefighters from Krzyżowa:
After the fire crews arrived, they quickly managed to bring the blaze under control, even though it was spreading rapidly. They then proceeded to douse the smouldering area.
Fortunately, no one was injured. In addition to the uniformed firefighters from Krzyżowa, firefighters from Bolesławiec, Gromadka and Różyniec also took part in the operation.
