The incident occurred on Sunday, June 30, in the evening, in Gierałtów (Nowogrodziec municipality). Officers received a report that a man had entered a pond in the village and had not resurfaced.
The search is underway.

Sunday’s search has ended. Divers from Legnica did not find the person being sought in the body of water.
Unfortunately, there are strong indications that this was not a false alarm; the man’s clothing was found on the bank. Witnesses also confirmed the account given in the report.
The search will resume on Monday morning, probably with the use of sonar.
