Officers warn:
Particular attention should be paid to incoming emails impersonating the address: policja@cbs.pl.
The message contains the subject “Notification” and information for the recipient about an alleged date for questioning at the nearest police station. The alleged questioning is supposedly related to sending fake emails.
The alleged notice is included in an interactive link which, when opened, attempts to redirect the user to an external resource containing a potentially dangerous file.
What should you do if you receive such an email?
The Computer Security Incident Response Team CSIRT GOV recommends treating the above messages as SPAM, not replying, deleting them from your mailbox and not opening the link contained in the aforementioned message.
