For some time now, access to the children's playground at the PUBLIC KINDERGARTEN on Dolne Młyny Street has been closed :( This raises the question: can something created with public funds simply be closed and access restricted?

He added:

I would like to emphasize that this was a place where many people met, and children enjoyed great fun in a safe location. It is sad that because of the actions of irresponsible people, children are suffering and looking around the neighborhood for other, not necessarily safe, entertainment.

“The playground is closed because the play equipment has been damaged; we are waiting for it to be repaired,” istotne.pl was told by Ewa Niziałek, director of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3 in Bolesławiec.

She added: “An open playground means that dogs also come here, despite the ban on bringing dogs in, as well as people drinking alcohol, despite the ban on drinking alcohol in public places. There are also people who vandalize the site, including teenagers, as shown by the cameras installed on the kindergarten premises.”

She also stressed: “It is not the case that, because the kindergarten is public, our institution should bear the costs of repairing vandalized equipment, which puts a strain on our budget. Every year I appeal to neighborhood residents to watch over and take care of the playground, but unfortunately, that does not happen.”
