Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec—together with colleagues from the Criminal Division of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław and with the support of Lower Silesian counter-terrorism officers—arrested a man suspected of attempted murder.

The incident occurred at the weekend in Bolesławiec, outside a club on Gdańska Street. Following a misunderstanding with the venue’s staff, the 29-year-old resident of Lubin County took a firearm from his car and fired four shots. One of the bullets wounded a 27-year-old man.

As a result of intensive efforts, police identified the people involved in the shooting outside the nightclub.

Based on the collected evidence, investigators determined that the shots were fired by the 29-year-old, who was arrested in Legnica. Moreover, in the apartment where the man was staying with his friends, police secured methamphetamine and marijuana. (The arrested man had previously been convicted, among other things, of drug-related and property offences.)
