The aim of the ranking is to compare local governments in terms of their support for football clubs. The survey covered 2,478 municipalities, 314 counties and 16 provincial local governments.
A total of 5,013 grants for football clubs were described. The ranking’s authors took into account the funds received by individual football clubs from municipal budgets per resident, as well as the funds received by football clubs competing in various divisions.
The presentation of distinctions and awards took place during a gala accompanying the National Conference of Local Government and Education “Education of the Future” in Lublin. The prize consists of tickets to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will go to children and young people.
The prestigious distinction for Bolesławiec was accepted by Józef Pokładek – Deputy Chair of the Bolesławiec City Council.
